ABOUT: DALLAS ICON
Painted triptychs of the intro to the television show Dallas, where the main characters are presented from three different angles and moods resembling old altarpieces of Jesus in Christian iconography. The painting technique is the same as the one used in medieval Icons. The board is prepared with multiple layers of plaster and animal glue. The pure pigment is mixed with fresh egg yolk and water. The two media hardens over time and the paintings are to last for many centuries. The paintings aim to freeze the stream of images on our television screens, to emphasize what we actually are looking at.
